WWU Ecological Restoration Club
Clayton Beach Work Party
Join the Northwest Straits Foundation and Western Washington University's Ecological Restoration Club for a work party at Clayton Beach!
We're joining forces with a group of Western students who dedicate their time, energy, and weekends to support ecological restoration. We will begin the day with a short site visit and discussions of the Clayton Beach restoration project as a whole, and continue with cutting back invasives on the backshore.
The event will happen regardless of weather - come prepared!
Parks is graciously providing day use parking passes for those who don't have a Discover Pass - please carpool as the parking lot fills up quick on weekends!
Please Sign-Up Below
What to bring: Water bottle, Discover Pass for parking if you have one, leather gloves and loppers if you have them, we will have some to borrow as well, durable long-sleeve/pant clothing for working with blackberry.
We will meet at the Lost Lake parking lot at 10:00am, across the street from the trail down to Clayton Beach - we will then walk down to the beach together and begin working!
